FOUR PEAKS

Urban hike through history on the Four Peaks tour of San Francisco’s charming neighborhood, Eureka Valley. This multicultural "neck of the woods" spans the Castro District, Twin Peaks, Corona Heights, and Dolores Heights––but this neighborhood wasn’t so glamorous 100 years ago… Eureka Valley was known as the outskirts of the City. ITINERARY

  • Uncover the history of the Eureka Valley as we investigate relics of the 1850's outskirts and the churches of the 1890's Irish community. We’ll travel through streets that were abandoned in the 60's then brought back to life in 70's by the flourishing LGBTQ+ community. Locals and visitors alike can appreciate these untold moments in history as we explore four of the best vistas in San Francisco.

  • This tour is off the beaten path, but isolation from the City has its perks. We'll visit secret staircases and hidden concrete slides. Secluded gardens and a certain podium with a missing statue. At the peak of Corona Heights, we’ll conclude at the lesser-known, but fascinating Randall Museum. Consider the Museum’s free entry as a reward for this fourth and final climb. Make sure to wear your hiking shoes!

  • Snack Stops: The Castro's famous Hot Cookie
